The answer is that it depends.  If it is an indi label, the splits on royalties are typically 50/50.  However, the splits on everything else will be deal by deal specific.  Typically, the artist is going to insist (or try to insist) that the majority of the income from touring stay with the artist.  Merchandise should be in favor of the artist as well, but if the label is paying for the production and manufacturing, you can bet that they will look for a better than 60/40 split.
